'Exhibition
cupboard' , Moira, Utrecht.
Materials:
wood, glass, sensors, 30 electro magnets.
Length: 350 cm, height: 250 cm, width: 60 cm.
A
white cupboard with a front made out of glass is placed in the exhibition
space. Inside the cupboard you will notice four fixed shelves with several
electro magnets on different heights. The electro magnets start to move at
certain moments and they tap with small metal pins on the huge front glass.
The movement and the sound from the ticking pins create a tension between
the cupboard and the viewer as it seems that the glass can break every
moment. |

Video-installation in collaboration with Leon Vranken.
Video-projection: DVD 12 min in a loop.
Length: 3,70 m, height: 2m.

an image of a wall that is in continual transformation. Spots begin to
appear, and for an unknown reason the spots begin to change while powder

‘Artists
Residence’
Spoor Noord, Antwerpen
Materials:
construction plates, wood, neon lighting, plexiglass.
Height: 5,60 m, width: 2m on 2m.
The title of the work
indicates the rather idealistic/conceptual context of its given destination:
a residency for artists.
The residency is built 3.60 meter above the ground
and finds ittself on the border of an underdeveloped living area where the
government tries to 'inject' some social economic projects: a park,
recreation areas, and different possibilities for investment property.
The tower emphasizes the distant character of the site and speaks more about
disappearance than about connection. |
